Have you ever wondered how to insert an image into your Wordpress blog or website? A client recently asked us, so we thought we'd place this short tutorial up.
1) Open up an edit/new post/page in Wordpress and press on the 'Insert image button'.
2) Once you've clicked on the 'Add Image Button' then you'll get the option to 'Select Files'. Click on this button (part i) and you'll see a list of files on your hard drive appear. Here you select the photo and click on 'Open' (part ii).
3) Once you've completed step 2 you have a list of options before you can Insert the Image into your post. You have the following fields/options you can fill out. Only the important fields are mentioned below.
Title: This is what you read when you hover over the image. It's should contain a brief description containing a couple keywords preferably. (Part i)
Alignment: Where do you want the image positioned? To the left, right? It's your choice. (Part ii)
Size: Display the image in its' original size or shrink it. (Part iii)
Once you've decided what to chose/text to place in these fields then click on 'Insert into Post' (Part iv).
