Charlie Street

Managing Director

An entrepreneur at heart, Charlie is the original founder of Media Street and based at the core of everything it does. His skills include hosting, website design, development and marketing (printed & online). At the age of 27 Charlie doesn’t know precisely how many websites he has built but it’s over 500.... he's now in his thirties so he's built even more. His first website and experience of hosting was when he was around 12 years of age. He then started marketing for firms when he was 18. As a child though he started his first business at the age of 11 selling magazines he made himself, he then proceeded to continually have business ventures whilst at school. In his spare time Charlie is a qualified Hot Air Balloon pilot and has been fortunate to have flown in countries including Spain, Ireland, Switzerland, Italy, Thailand, Romania, Austria and Egypt! He also has an allotment so can be found there most weekends or at the pub watching rugby.

Where’s your favourite place in Devon for a day-out?

Easily Dartmoor.... or maybe the coast. Not sure.

I love Dartmoor as it's so nice to go on walks there, I love the pubs up there to and you can get a full day of adventure on Dartmoor. That being said, I do think we're lucky to have a North and South Coast in Devon and I love coastal walking. I did most of the South Coast Coastal Walk in 2019 and would love to complete the North Coast some time soon.

Your go to snack?

Cheese Twists are pretty good!

Your dream holiday destination?

This one's easy. Bora Bora! I've never done it but I'd love to go one day and mark a special moment of my life there.

What’s your favourite item of clothing?

Hoodies. Don't get to wear them whilst I'm am work now-a-days. But that and jeans are probaly my "go-to" items for life.

Do you have any pets?

Yep, love animals. At the moment I have a Bassett Hound called Winston and then a Minature Dachsund called Lyra.

It’s movie night, what are you watching?

Comedy.... or action.... or horror.... or anything really! With Netflix, NowTV, Prime etc. etc. we always have a massive choice of movies so I've watched a lot of different stuff. I don't do well when I have to read sub-titles, so those films are normally a no-go. I love most films with Will Ferrell, Dwanye Johnson or Kevin Hart in them. I thought Greatest Showman was pretty call!

Tea or coffee?

Coffee.... that stuff is amazing and very much needed!

City or countryside?

Countryside..... that question is so easy!
