How do I set up spam filters on my email account?

A lot of us suffer from unwanted spam coming into our inbox, or emails that are important going into our spam folder. There are simple solutions to follow that will help to irradicate that issue – we speak about how to apply these spam filters to your email accounts in the below video.

The walkthrough of the above video is as follows:

  1. Go to the Media Street Website to log into your hosting account as shown in the video.
  2. Once you have logged into your account click the Email Filters( Yellow arrow pointing down on a vertical yellow, and white bar) button in the Emails box.
  3. Once you have loaded the Email Filters page, then scroll down till you get to the Reject By Sender.
  4.  In the Add Domain Rule box, make sure that the correct domain is selected from the drop-down menu. By correct domain, it needs to be the one that comes after the @ in the email address.
  5. In the Sender Address box put the email address of the person/company that has been sending the spam.
  6. Press Reject Sender To Domain.
  7. In the Add Mailbox Rule box, make sure that the correct domain is selected from the drop-down menu. By correct domain, it needs to be the one that comes after the @ in the email address. In the Email Address box put the first part of your email address before the @ sign.
  8. In the Sender Address box put the email address of the person/company that has been sending the spam.
  9. Press Reject Sender To Email.
  10. Scroll down to the Allow By Sender box.
  11. In the Add Domain Rule box, make sure that the correct domain is selected from the drop-down menu. By correct domain, it needs to be the one that comes after the @ in the email address.
  12. In the Sender Address box put the email address of the person/company that has had their important emails, unintentionally going into your spam folder.
  13. Press Whitelist Sender For Domain.
  14. In the Add Mailbox Rule box, make sure that the correct domain is selected from the drop-down menu. By correct domain, it needs to be the one that comes after the @ in the email address. In the Email Address box put the first part of your email address before the @ sign.
  15. In the Sender Address box put the email address of the person/company that has had their important emails, unintentionally going into your spam folder.
  16. Press Whitelist Sender For Address.
  17. Once done all your spam filters will be sorted.
